Valentines Day Gift Guide

I Love You, Thats All Mug | Kate Spade Watch | S'well Water Bottle | Valentino Pumps | YSL Lipstick | Kendra Scott Earrings

Hey all! Tonight Drew finally asked me the question I've been waiting for, "Hey babe, what do you want for Valentines Day?" He really does try hard to surprise me with something I would like, but it works best when I give him a few ideas. I like to give him multiple ideas with varying price points so he is still able to surprise me. I chose a few things that I've been crushing over for a while but haven't felt the need to splurge on quite yet since the holiday season. I mainly stayed around the pinks and neutrals for colors, because that has been my go-to lately.

What are some of your Valentines Day gift ideas this year?

Skin Care

Hey all! I wanted to share my current skin care routine. I love reading about skin care and learning new tips and tricks from others! This time of year can be so stressful on a lot of our skin, especially mine living in the cold midwest. I envy those of you who live in warmer weather right now and have some moisture in your skin! My morning and night routines are slightly different but I use the same products everyday.

Every morning when I wake up I start by doing the usual, combing my hair, brushing my teeth, washing my face. (this is of course when I can actually pull myself away from Theo's cuddles) I like to wash my face with warm water using Philosophy Purity Facial Wash, you can find here. I love using this facial cleanser because it already has a built in toner which is perfect for someone like me who likes to keep it simple! After washing and patting my face dry, I go in with fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream which you can find here. That completes it for my morning routine! I like to keep it pretty simple since mornings can be a little draggy anyways.

As for night time I start by taking off my eye makeup with whatever makeup remover I currently have on hand, which is the Simple Cleansing Micellar Water. I am really enjoying this one right now, it does not leave my eyes super oily. You can find it here! After removing all my eye makeup I wet my Clarisonic (you can find here, I have the Mia2) with warm water and apply a ring of the Philosophy Purity Facial Cleanser directly to the bristles. I then wet my face with warm water and start on my face with my Clarisonic, starting with my chin, moving upwards from my no, I go in with the Philosophy Clear Days Ahead acne treatment pads for my stubborn acne spots. You can find these gifts from heaven here! (I swear by these) Finishing up this process I moisturize with the Belif Moisturizing Bomb that you can find here. This bomb seriously saves my skin during these cold months! This finishes it up for my every day/night skin care routine! About once or twice a week I will go in with the GlamGlow Youthmud Treatment Mask which I use as an exfoliant. You can purchase this here. This has been my go-to exfoliant forever now!

What are some of your must have skin care products?
Thanks for stopping by!

How To Stick With New Year's Resolutions

New Year, New You, right? I know we all like to think that this will be the year we make those changes in our everyday lives to better ourselves. As we start to go around the calendar and we get further and further from the holidays and back into our normal routines, its easy to start drifting away from those goals we set ourselves. (I may know from personal experience) Here are a few tips and tricks I use to help stick with those goals I set myself.

1. Write them down!
Sitting down to write your goals out really helps you think about what you want to conquer in 2016, and it gives you something to refer back to when your starting to slip. Stick your list on your fridge, desk, or bathroom mirror, somewhere you will see it often.

2. Grab a buddy.
Finding a pal who wants to achieve the same goal with you makes it so much easier when you have someone to motivate you! Chat with your friends about their goals and push each other to achieve them.

3. Make notes throughout your planner.
One thing I have found that really helps me personally is writing down reminders of my goals on a couple different days throughout the month. When I get to these days in the month it works as a fun reminder and self check point to see how I am doing on my goals.

4. Mentally go through your day each night.
I know I know, most of us do that anyway, but it really helps you think through day. Each night when I am laying in bed I like to turn the tv off, plug my phone in and leave in on my nightstand, and think through my day and while preparing for the next day. You can use this time to think about your goals, how your doing on them, and what you can do differently the following days to ensure your meeting your goals.

Sticking to New Year's Resolutions can be so hard to do for everyone, hopefully these tips can help you conquer 2016!
